Thursday is the new Friday for college students, but finding worthwhile events in and around Orange County isn’t always easy. So leave it to us.
Every week, we’ll comb through local and regional event calendars and drop suggestions for what to do here  just in time for the weekend:

Flow Yoga in the Hill
Yoga and hiking in the Orchard Hills are a great way to start your morning. This class consists of a one-mile hike through the hills and is about an hour of vinyasa-style yoga. Vinyasa yoga is defined by non-stop movements synchronized with breathing exercises that increase blood circulation and your heart rate. You’ll be doing yoga on dirt, so bring a durable mat or extra padding. Although the class is free, it is advised to register ahead of time at letsgooutside.org/activities.

The Book Of Mormon
The Tony-Award-winning musical The Book of Mormon is back at Segerstrom Hall. The musical first came out in Orange County in 2011 and sold out all of it’s shows. The Book of Mormon is a religious satire musical that follows two Mormon missionaries on a religious quest. The Musical was written by South Park writers Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Tickets can be purchased through ticketmaster.com.

Jessie James Decker
The Country-pop singer-songwriter grew up as a child with a parent in the army and never had a home town, but connected with country music while living in Louisiana. She is performing some of her latest singles like “Lights Down Low” and “Clint Eastwood”. She has been releasing singles every year following her self titled album in 2009. Local country band Temecula Road will be opening. Tickets can be purchased through ticketmaster.com.

Santigold
The singer-songwriter and producer from Philadelphia has released her third album 99¢ after a four-year hiatus. Her music is a catchy blend of electronic hip-hop and addicting lyrics. She will be performing her new singles from that album on her We Buy Gold Tour. Tickets can be purchased through ticketmaster.com.

Make Your Own Kimchi
Whole Foods in Brea is hosting a two-hour class about making your own kimchi in the kitchen. The traditional fermented Korean side dish, kimchi, is made of various vegetables and seasonings. Acclaimed chef Ernest Miller will be teaching the class.
