In college, the weekend starts on Thursday and there are always new events happening in and outside of Orange County to help get you through it. Every week, we’ll comb through local and regional event calendars and drop our suggestions for what to do here, just in time for you to get started on your weekend:

Le Cellier Wine Tasting and Appetizers
Le Cellier and Seebass Family Wines are hosting a wine-tasting event that is serving four Seebass wines with five appetizers. Le Cellier offers French-Vietnamese dishes, while Seebass wines include “hand-harvested, hand-pruned, sustainably farmed estate-grown fruit.” This is a great event to start your weekend off with a buzz.

Carly Rae Jepsen
Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen is performing her hit songs “Call Me Maybe” and “I Really Like You” as well as tracks from her new album E·MO·TION which was released in August 2015. Special guests Cardiknox and Fairground Saints join Jepsen on stage. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com.
WHEN: Friday, Feb. 26, 8 p.m.
WHERE: City National Grove of Anaheim

Wicked
Wicked is back by popular demand. The Grammy and Tony-award-winning musical that began in May 2003 returns to Orange County. The musical follows the story of the two witches in the Wizard of Oz. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com or check the cashier’s office on campus for possible discounts.
WHEN: Now through March 6, times may vary.
WHERE: Segerstrom Center for the Arts
COST: $49-200

Kip Moore
Go Country 105 presents Kip Moore, a country singer from Georgia who hit the scene in 2011 will perform songs like “I’m to Blame” from his album Wild Ones, which was released Aug. 21, 2015. The Cadillac Three opens. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com.
WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 27, 8 p.m.
WHERE: House of Blues in Anaheim
COST: $100-200

Metric
Metric, a Canadian rock band from Toronto, will perform their new song “The Shade” from their latest album, Pagans in Vegas, which was released Sept. 18, 2015. Indie rock band Joywave will open. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com.
WHEN: Sunday Feb. 28 8 p.m.
WHERE: House of Blues in Anaheim
COST: $45-$150

2016 Los Angeles Boat Show
The Progressive Los Angeles Boat Show is taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center and in Marina del Rey this weekend. This is the ultimate show for all boating and outdoor activities. There will be yachts, sailboats, sport fishing boats and stand-up paddle boards. When purchasing, two tickets will print which allows entrance into both locations of the show on the same day.
WHEN: Friday-Sunday, Feb. 25-28, times vary.
WHERE: Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S. Figueroa Street, Downtown LA; In-water at Marina del Rey, Burton W. Chace Park 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey

Step-by-Step Painting Class in San Clemente
Learn to paint while having a glass of wine. Canvas, Paint and Wine Oh My! is having a step-by-step painting class. You don’t need to have any painting skills, just come ready to have fun. You will be able to enjoy food and wine all while creating your own masterpiece that you can take home. This event will continue throughout the next month with different themes for each class.
